Bathed in the spirit of Confucius and Mencius, Jining Yucai Middle School adheres to the goal of carrying forward Chinese culture. On the ancient and magical land, Jining Yucai High School is pursuing her dream of flourishing education. Jining Yucai High School was established and constructed by the People’s Government of Jining City in 1995. It is directed by Jining Education Bureau. In 1999, it was honored as Shandong Province Normalized School, and was recognized as the Demonstration School for High School in 2006. The school covers an area of 140 mu. More than 397 stuff are working there along with over 3600 currently-enrolled students. At present, with a faculty of 397 members, the school has 3 professorate senior teachers and 160 senior teachers, 8 provincial special-grade teachers, 2 renowned teachers of Shandong Province, 9 Xingtan famous teachers, 14 national and provincial outstanding teachers, 147 teaching experts, 1 doctor candidate and 155 master’s candidates of the teaching staff. A well-organized teaching group covers all the disciplines. Teachers are the main force in the implementation of quality education, and the quality of teachers will directly affect education quality, which means the quality of teachers serves as the key point to seizing the school's future.
In recent years, Yucai High School upholds the school running ideology of “implementing the Party’s education policy, following the education laws, returning to the essence of education, leading the social progress, and protecting the conscience of society.” It aims to run a school that is respected by the whole society. It also establishes the educational brand of "standardized school operation, strict management, pure school spirit, dedicated teachers, safe campus, graceful environment, superior quality and distinctive features", which has become a representative school in Jining.
Yucai High school follows the modern school management system of “ running the school by law, independent management, democratic supervision and social participation.”, employs the ideology of “low focus operation, high-efficiency performance, standardized management and personalized services”, and follows the ideas of “narrowing the management unit, activating administrative vitality and improving the management efficiency, and establishes the working structure of "unified leadership by the school, direct management by the ministry, coordination and services by the departments, and students' autonomous development". Yucai High School also emphasizes on strengthening the construction of four teams: cadre team, class teachers, teaching and research team, and young teacher team. The five-step working methodology of "concept-objective-mechanism-content-approach” has been implemented, gradually achieving a scientific and efficient administrative mechanism.
Our school actively creates its own school-running characteristics, promotes the diversity of training models, meets the developing needs of students with different levels, provides more space for students with more selective, individualized and diversified development as well as is devoted to explores new ways to cultivate innovative talents. We have the distinct characteristics of running schools with the aim of constructing a unique core culture, practicing the core ideology as well as perfecting characteristic curriculum system. Our school makes great efforts to construct and optimize the moral education curriculum system, improve the training mechanism for special talents in the field of music, fine arts, sports, sub-arts, minority student training, international education, pilot training.We also made great contributions in the following aspects: 36 school-level student associations were established; the family committee system was perfected ; curriculum construction projects were innovatively implemented. Apart from these, we built some wonderful projects for students---special students training projects, special students training projects, scholarly campus construction projects, and community construction projects. Six characteristic curriculum systems have been formed, such as activities of inviting famous people into campus , major festival activities, major theme activities, student union activities, minority student training, and international education. Special classes such as classes designed for students from Xinjiang and international classes have been opened.
Yucai Middle School adheres to the concept of building high quality school and the principle of convincing others with real power, so as to make students with the equal basis can develop best in Yucai, and constantly compose a new glory of developing students in every levels to a higher level. In the past twenty-six years, more than twenty thousand qualified students have graduated from Yucai High school. After the restoration of the College Entrance Examination(CEE), the first provincial Zhuangyuan ( the best performer in the College Entrance Exam) came from our school. Forty-five students have been admitted to Tsinghua University and Peking University, and seven of them have successively become the top scorers in the CEE at provincial and municipal levels. In recent years, the students’ scores got in CEE have continued to rise. While the scores in science have maintained the city's lead, the scores in the field of liberal arts, arts and sports, pilots, and studying abroad have greatly improved.
In 2018, the admission rate of CEE undergraduate exceeded 90%, and the admission rate of the A-level students reached 56%; in 2019, the admission rate of CEE undergraduate was 89.6%, and the admission rate of the A-level students reached 54.1%. In 2020, the the admission rate of CEE undergraduate was 90.2%, and admission rate of the A-level students reached 54.6%. Two students ranked in the top 100 in Shandong Province. Yan Tian’ao from Class 9 of Senior Three scored 695, ranking 70th in this province. Liu Jiacheng from Class 7 of Senior Three scored 693, ranking 85th in this province. Both of them were admitted by Peking University.The school has been rated as an advanced school for training excellent student in Jining City and an advanced school for high school teaching in Jining City for more than ten consecutive years. Besides, it has been awarded as a body of satisfying the public by the municipal government for many consecutive years.
Since the establishment of our school, it has been successively known as National Advanced School for Campus Culture Construction, the Top Ten National Olympic Schools, the Teaching Reformation Experimental School of National Foreign Language, the Shandong Province Civilized body and the Shandong Province’s First Provincial Civilized Campus. Also, it was listed to the first batch of national youth campus football characteristic schools. In total, our school has won more than 200 honors at the city level and above. Jining Municipal People’s Government awarded our school with the advanced body of high school education in Jining and the advanced body of Shandong Air Force recruitment the first time . More than 50 national famous universities including Peking University and Tsinghua University have awarded our school as a base of cultivating excellent student . Tsinghua University has established our school as a test site for the "standard academic ability test for middle school students", and CCTV's middle school student channel has established our school as a "teaching experiment base".
